I recently got a really nice M48a. The numbers all match and I am very happy with it. I find that opening the bolt is quite difficult. It really sticks. Ive owned one before and it was quite smooth. Any ideas that could be the culprit here? Perhaps some old cosmo in the receiver ring?

Think the bolt was just dry. Bolt opened and closed quite well the the flag up, so I figured it must be in the bolt itself. So, I stripped the bolt, oiled it up and put back together. Opens and closes much easier now. Can't beleive how difficult it was to open. I needed to hit the handle with my hand several times to get it to loosen.
