M6 scout worth?

Hmm, by Springfield m6, we are talking about the "older" ones, right? Not the ones that are made by Chiappa (and which float), right?

I just want to be sure.

have a Springfield in 22 hornet/410 in excellent condition grey finish t in safe for over 20 years, took it out today and forgot how much fun it is, any idea the value? recall under 500 when I purchased it

I have a Springfield made one in 22/410 great little gun.I would value from $600 to $1000 depending on the condition,if it comes with accessories and also if it has had some modifications made to it ,like removing the trigger guard etc as what seems to be an improvement to some can be described as plain butchery to others

Some people will pay that price if they have to have a Springfield/CZ version but now they also have the option of the TPS m6 version that is also made in a couple more versions like a 357/410 and a 410/410 plus it has a couple of improvements over the original and is priced at around $650.I have both and while I still like my Springfield version the TPS gun is a quality piece and the improvements like the captured takedown pin are well welcomed improvements

I had an original Springfield scout .22 LR/ .410 w/black finish that I paid a few hundred bucks for many years ago. I didn't like it at all and gave it to a buddy to throw in his trappers sleigh with his traps for shooting caught critters while checking his line. He said it was crude but reliable for that purpose. I had no idea they were actually popular and sought after. No accounting for taste I suppose! ;-)

I have an M6 in .22LR/.410 and I quite like it. I purchased it on EE a few years back for $850 (I really wanted it). Since then, I've seen less than 6 come up for sale here and on #######. It doesn't come up frequently. I've only seen one in stainless come up and I think that was at auction. Hard to say what they actually sell for, I find the higher prices basic M6s sit for a longer time. If you had the blue case, or a scope it sells faster. Based on the above I'd put the value on a Stainless Springfield M6 made by CZ between $1000-$1200. That said, you'd have to find the right buyer. For that kind of money the TPS M6 looks pretty good. This is more of a collector's price.

I might pay a premium for one with a blue case, and more still for one with a blue case and the M6 scope: but I'm not very smart.

TPS is a better copy of it for $650, unless someone’s collecting these I don’t see why they’d command that price now that they’re back in production. When nobody was building them they sold high, I guess the market will determine the price, start high and incrementally drop til it sells.

I bought mine for 300$ in 2004 and estimate it’s price well used at about 900$ from what I’ve seen on the EE
It’s value however is priceless.
I can’t think of a better takedown rifle for harvesting game while backpacking, mountain biking or canoe trips.
