M6 survival rifle builds

Chiappa m6 arrived today, taking the spot of my ar7 for compact small game/survival/camping rifle.
I opted for the 12/22lr combo (did not come with the x-caliber kit but more options with the 12 barrel) I will likely pick that up in the future.
Put a few rounds of each through it today and there's a couple hot spots, mainly the stock on your cheek and the lever for opening the action on your middle finger knuckle only when using the front trigger. Im thinking a piece of shrink tubing on the lever would solve that.

What kind of diy mods have people done to this or other m6 iterations? Pics welcome. Besides the red dot and pic rail panels I was thinking of drilling a few more holes in the stock for 22 storage and maybe 410 shells if I get the caliber kit. If its feasible it would be nice to replace the takedown screw with a captive pin for tool-less takedown

I was able to hit a clay sitting in a tree at around 50yds with the 22lr barrel. As far as the 12g barrel I hit a few thrown clays in a row fairly easily

Maybe put a velcro side saddle on that for extra shells, looks good

I have a TPS Arms M6 357 over 410. The only "mod" I've done to it is a small 5-6" paracord wrap around the barrels where I usually grip with my support hand. I wouldn't mind buying their pic rail and installing it and then mounting a small red(or more likely green) dot optic on it but that probably won't happen anytime soon.

I have the tps arms one too only it’s a 22 hornet over 410
I’ve shot the 410 out of it a few times but not the 22 hornet I need to fix that lol
It’s a handy well built little rifle although I don’t really like the style of trigger on it

The TPS Arms, like the Springfield, Inc. version are based on the US M6, with these changes - barrel length was increased from 14" and a trigger guard was added. Barrel length was to comply with US law, trigger guard added to void a liability issue.
Original length14" barrels are Canadian legal. Without a trigger guard, the gun folds neatly in half. The original configuration is the handiest by far.

I think a shorter barrel, as mentioned above, would be really sweet & practical on these. 14" or even 12. If it's worth for the manufacturer to make a run for us Canuckz...? I'd buy one, I got a thing for 'short' barrel anything these days. Also, ones with .22WMR {instead of .22LR}

I have a Springfield armory M6 in .410/.22. Made a paracord sling, removed the trigger guard. Most likely one I will never sell.
