on this gun model , they look good with the dark laminate but I imagine a little on the heavy side..........
thanks any opion would be great

I have the exact same rifle. The previous owner had the trigger tuned and lightened, had it re-crowned, and had it bedded. Shoots like a house on fire now. Seems to like Sierra 75 gr. HPBT Match bullets really well.

It'a a Shooter's Ridge bipod, non-swivel. Basically the same as a Harris bi-pod. Scope was a Burris Black Diamond 6-24x50 mil-dot. I've since sold the scope and will be replacing it soon with something different and maybe a bit less costly - couldn't justify a 1k+ scope on a rifle that sees the range about 6 times a year.

You're correct though, it's a heavy rifle for sure - given the heavy barrel and the wide laminate stock. Tons of fun to shoot.

I ran a 243 for one coyote season, the 243 kills them good and dead, it's a fine high performance varmint round, but I was trying to keep the pelts and the results I got included fist size holes or better (all hit at calling ranges 30-150). Near the end of that season I tried 60 gr seirra's and they showed promise. I had also considerd using a stiff deer bullet (barnes triple shock was the one I was thinking of) and just have two controled holes, but sold the 243 off before I got there and the 204 that I bought with the money has worked much better for my usage.

If you not into keeping furs or do more "drive bys" where the ranges can get longer it will do really well. At the closer calling ranges I found it had too much horsepower.
