M88 Winchester

Got one in 243. It's old, shoots good, fitted with a leupold M8 fixed 6x scope. Good for island blacktails and that's about it.

I have one in 308 bought is cheap and never had time to ever use it. Never checked when it was made as with them it's doesn't seem to make a difference .

I've always like the looks of the 88, but for some reason never got around to picking one up. They've always seemed a little overpriced in my neck of the woods. I've heard the triggers aren't always the best either.

I never could warm up to the BLR, just too much ugly in one package.

I’ve cleaned one up for a buddy, a .308 and while it was fairly handy and shouldered well it was pretty fugly. I’m more of a tube fed guy when it come to lever actions, a M94 or a 336 is more to my liking. Will shoot the 88 when I get the chance so maybe I’ll change my mind.
