Hi guys!

I got lucky this week and picked up a pretty m41 Carcano for a fantastic deal. I picked up a box of new factory ammo to put through and see how it shoots, however I don't have a Mannlicher style clip for the gun.

For now I'm going to drop the round in the chamber and load it one at a time, however I would like to get some clips for it. Does anyone have any leads on where to find them? New production or original, doesn't matter to me.

Here is a picture of my new find. Don't ask what I paid, you'll wish it had of been you rather than me! ;)

Loading single rounds in a Carcano strains the extractor and can distort the ctg rims

I got er! I'll give them a ring. Thanks for your help! And I am aware of the extractor issue which can happen, so it may be just a shootability test before I can find the appropriate clips.

I think I found clips for mine on Ebay.....in fact I think most of the clips I own have come from ebay. Worth a check.

FYI my Carcano carbine shoots minute of barn with factory ammo, likely due to the fact that factory ammo is mostly slightly under sized for the actual bore diameter used by the Italians. I believe most modern 6.5 bullets are .264 while the Carcano bores at .268.

That is my laymans understanding anyways. To keep it safe, I'd fire your first groups nice and close to the berm, so nothing is flying over.

I've been reading that. It will be within 5 for sure. My range's berm is like 100-150 feet so I'm not TOO worried but better safe then sorry.

Also saw some literature that the ammo the Italians were issuing was .266...have to keep my eyes out for MORE weird ammo at gunshows now.
