M91 Russian with Canadian Broadarrow

Yup, a Finn re-work with a 1940 Tikka barrel. No broad arrows seen. The Canadian operations in Siberia were conducted in 1918-1919 . The Tikka barrel is a nice bonus as they are very good shooters if in sound condition.

- C-Broad Arrow Stamp is a fake.

- Some M-91's were issued to Canadians in Siberia, I have two photopies of photos from a local Officer's photo Album who served in Siberia and one can clearly see the rifles in use. I doubt that they had time to put property marks on them or even bothered to bring them back to Canada.

.

Stamped TWICE on the wood in different (and wrong) places. 1940 Tikka barrel. So many others that it is hard to start to point out the inaccuracies of History on this one.

BOGUS ----- someone went stamp happy.

If you bought it, I hope you did not pay too much for it. Or, is this a case did someone buy the STORY that he was told instead of the RIFLE itself?

If you disassemble the rifle, there is a good chance the actual date of manufacture will be stamped on the underside of the receiver possibly near the tang of the receiver.
