It's my wife's fav (and gets her involved), so don't bother telling me to buy a real gun.

Had the wife out shooting last weekend and experienced two M93 mags that just refused to extract reliably. After a 2-3min ordeal of pushing on that heel release we managed to get them out. All 5 mags, that I have exhibit the same behavior, to some extent, intermittently. Very frustrating.

Suggestions?

More info.

After 5-10 clean mag insert/releases, the heel mag release freezes up and it takes a whole bunch of fooling around to get it to release the mag!

Is there a screw loose in there some where (and I'm not talking about me)?

I don't know any thing about these guns but I had a similar problem with my cz97 45acp. The mag couldn't seat, the trigger when pulled back was stuck back and the mag was hard to pull out, odd thing was it only happened with the mec gar mags - the factory one seems to work okay. I thought something broke, I finally figured out the thin hook spring behind the trigger got pulled out a bit and causing the trouble. I recall using a rag to clean the mag well and feeling it get caught on something.

I don't have one but it is like any other problem, you have to find out what the cause is...this could mean taking it apart to see what is happening.
A mag release is pretty simple but may not be shaped exactly as it should ie: may need fitting.

I'm kind of surprised that no other M93 owners have chimed in? There has got to be a pile M93s in circulation out there.

I have discovered that if the mag doesn't come out the first try, reseating it cures the issue 90% of the time.

The problem stems from the fact that the heel latch just barely clears the mag when depressed. I'm tempted to file it down a bit to provide more clearance, but don't what to create a situation where it doesn't latch the mag in either.
