M93 woodman rear sight always comes loose.

Hi, im wondering if anyone has had the same problem with there rear sight always coming loose on there M93 ? I tighten the screw as much as possible but it seems after 40-50 rounds it starts coming loose. It even fell off at one point and I was lucky enough to find it. Is there any better replacement sight or any mods that can be done to the original sight to avoid this problem ? Thanks

thanks trebor2880, i will have to check the local hardware stores for some blue loctite. i have loctite 404 but its an instant adhesive. the one you mentioned should do the trick. thanks again

Make sure you strip the screw and threads of oil.

This. Degrease the screw and the sight.

And you can probably safely use red loctite. Once the rear sight is set, you won't ever need to adjust it again.

I had the same problem, I used blue loctite and the problem was solved.

I had the same problem with mine. I bought it used, and the rear sight screw head was all stripped and rounded out. I hammered it a little and used a flat punch to kinda form it back so I could get a flat screwdriver into it, but it doesn't stay sight. Probably replace it with a socket head set screw soon enough.

True, even though correct windage is correct windage, and it shouldn't require adjustment.

But even then, red loctite isn't exactly JB weld: It can still be broken if you really want to.
