The uncut rifles aren't very common. Most of the examples I've seen had their wood cut back to try to make them more appealing as hunting rifles. I believe International, Century contracted the work before they were shipped to North America. I seem to remember only around 5% escaped being cut down. A full wood specimen will fetch an easy $600 at any gun show I've had one for sale.
The conversion to charger loading from enbloc load and feed is very similar to what was done when the GEW 88 rifles were converted to charger loading, with a wide flat spring with a feed rail attached and fitted into a slot on the left side of the rifle.
They're quite accurate as long as their bores are decent. They are strong enough to handle the issue 8x57S rounds of their period of conversion, so close to 50k psi.
When they're in decent condition, they are slick and fast to chamber a round. Some people have issues getting used to the straight pull bolt.
It's not just the extractor that is difficult to obtain but any parts for the bolt. An extractor from the original 8x56R can be modified to work but it's a pain and expensive if you can't do it yourself.
ONE CAVEAT DON'T try to chamber a round by dropping the cartridge into the chamber and closing the bolt. Just like a K98, you WILL BREAK THE EXTRACTOR IF YOU INSIST ON FORCING IT CLOSED. These rifles were designed to be fed from the magwell and have the same system of controlled round feed as the k98.
