M95M Restoration Question

Hey there fellow milsurp enthusiasts, i picked up an M95M sporter not to long ago. Unfortunately the sporterized stock is in shambles and needs replacement, but metal and functionality is good to go. So i got the idea to restore it, i have a rifle length stock that has seen better days and will need modification to fit the shorter rifle, but also need some dimensions from anyone who has an unmolested M95M before i move ahead

Namely, the length between the rear sight and mid barrel band, and the distance between both barrel bands. Thanks in advance GunNutz!

I've restored one. The first thing you need to source is parts for the upper handguard. I ended up using a VZ24 upper handgaurd as my rear handguard and then used part of the M95 upper handguard for the front with both parts meeting under the rear barrel band. I'm assuming you've already sourced a drill purpose M95 stock for the lower

In terms of position, the dimensions I got was 10.5 inches from the front of the magazine to the rear of the rear handguard (see pic) and then 19 3/8 from the same position to the rear of the front band. Similarly, on the top, I measured 4 in from the front of the sight base to the back of the rear band.

Again, mine is my rebuild. Hopefully someone with an original would be able to send you dimensions.

Hope it helps

P&S Militaria has a couple complete drill purpose M95 long rifles in stock for $250. That will get you all of your bands, upper handguard and basically any other part you'll need/want.

Could you take measurements of the entire first peice of the rear upper handguard please, I'm doing the same restoration from a sporterized M95M
