I did a search on this one and couldn't find an answer. I have a Stiga M96 with iron sights. I can't decide if I want to mount the 3-9x40 scope I have for it on Weaver see-thru mounts to have the irons as back-ups, or if I want to put on regular rings. I was messing around with some crapola NcStar see-through rings I have laying around and found that my cheek was pretty light on the comb. Would this be a problem re: consistent sighting and/or getting slapped in the cheekbone? If I put on regular rings, would I want to use low, medium, or high ones? My guess is "high" due to clearance for the safety, but I have no practical experience with the M96 to base this on. Any input is appreciated.
