M98 stock recommendations

I bought a Husky M98 in 9.3x62 in a hideous synthetic stock (price was reflected). I want a walnut or laminate stock and was thinking Boyd's, but I want to use the iron sights without mashing my face into the stock to get a sight picture.

Anyone have any ideas?
 
"...want to use the iron sights..." Exclusively? No scope ever? It makes a difference. Boyds might have a stock with the right height of comb but not likely. Best to give 'em a call and ask.
 
Exclusively, unless I change my mind. I find it easier to move my cheek weld up to a scope on a stock meant for irons than trying to use irons with a stock meant for a scope.
 
I just went through a similar exercise myself, replacing the old beechwood with a nice walnut stock. I lucked out and got it from an estate in Texas, but a lot of companies providing stock wood won't/can't ship to Canada anymore. I would send these guys a line and see if they'll still ship:

My new stock has quite a bit less drop at the heel than the original. Doesn't point quite as naturally, but it's still usable. Scope is as low as I could possibly get it and still have clearance for the bolt. Husky, 9,3x62

When I restocked my Husky 9.3x62 I bought a "Wood Plus" stock from Brownells. The rifle was inletted but required final fitting including the bolt notch cutout and clearance for the bolt release and loading port. It's a good stock, probably 3.5-4 out of 5. Honestly I would prefer to do more fitting to get tighter tolerances in places like around the bottom metal, but the price was under $100 and it's a very good stock for the money. You will need some basic woodworking skills and tools (chisels, rasps and files), sandpaper and some sort of finish but in the end yo'll have a good stock and some satisfaction in knowing that you did the work yourself.

Very nice stock!

A note on the link you provided for gunstocks, I was almost going to order from them but upon some research found there were quite a number of people who were screwed over or got crappy service from them, enough so I decided to keep looking.
