I’ve noticed that these rifles in many configurations are extremely expensive and I cannot figure out how the sellers have come to the numbers in which they list them at. Are they selling for these prices? Most use a bunch of old used ar barrels and parts that aren’t worth $500 by them selves. But put them on a SLR receiver that cost $1000 new and now the parts are worth $1500-$2000.

What’s everyone’s take on this?

You should just get your own receiver set and build your own to whatever price point you like.

I have one. That’s built very high end. This is why I’m curious about how much people are asking.

I get the liberal government thing. I guess it could be driving these up. It’ll be more so if it actually goes through I guess.

Supply and demand. There's only 2 companies making NR pseudo AR-15 receivers and they are both backlogged. You either order from them and wait it out or you buy from someone who already has one but you pay the premium. If you don't like either of those two options you do without.

Nothing's going to change until supply catches up with demand. And that isn't going to be anytime soon.

And yeah, there's that whole thing about LieBerals possibly banning these firearms so people are panic buying just to get one while they can and they don't care about paying the premium.

I built mine (well RDSC technically built it ) and it came just shy of 3000cad all said and done. that was with fairly high end parts (Geissele, MRA, etc) but im sure you could drop that to 2500cad?
