Maccabee Defense SLR information and updates

The bolt is not a deal breaker for me. It's definitely not desirable, and I may replace it with the modern sporter when it's available. Until then I'll see how I like the SLR. I'll eventually compare them side by side, but if they were both available at the same time I'd probably just bypass the SLR all together.

My bad. I just wonder how many of these guys would behave like this face to face. “Oh, it’s a bolt, not a pin?, I’m out” and then turn around and walk away? Lol

From owning Ar's I would imagine that I'll prefer the pin system vs the bolt system the SLR employs. That being said, I haven't had any trigger time so who knows until I actually have one in my hands. The fact that it does not employ takedown pins definitely is not a deal breaker. I'll give it a go and if I find I don't like it then I'll move on to the next thing ( MV-s).

"Craig Smith" on Facebook reports..... Only ####ty thing is I just got info that my recievers probly won't be shipped fr TNA until late May.
Another delay. Maybe time to bail.

Yeah if the MV-s was available/ready to ship before the SLR that is probably the route I would go too. That being said, as long as I have my SLR in hand by the end of April I will be happy. Looks like I wont be sending it away for Cerakote though. If they take until May sending away for Cerakote will take another 3-4 weeks I imagine.

wtf? I thought mid april is when they are being shipped. 2 delays already? I have someone offering me their set but I think I;m going to refuse unless I get a guaranteed date. I thought theyd be different than BCL lol

I thought they were busy machining the receivers long ago. Makes no sense then why they will only ship 10-20 of them per week starting mid April. That tells me they have not been machining hundreds of them like one would have thought. No spring prairie poodle blasting with it I guess

CGN never disappoints.

Panic is setting in because one guy who didn’t mention WHEN he ordered said he is expecting his in May. No official updated delivery date, but it’s best to go into full rant and rave panic mode.

I would choose the MV but for the side charger. I personally prefer the standard AR charging handle myself.

I don’t understand why the angst because really they should have said Shyte until it was developed and fabricated first to cover up any delays. All of these new firearms always have roadblocks. I’ll take yours if you want to dump the $100 deposit.

The new MV-S that he is talking about does not have the side charging system. It is an updated design that takes a standard ar15 rear charging handle.

Only problem is it's still pending approval from the Queen's Cowboys.

TNA sent out emails stating that MDI was going to start shipping sets out on April 14th, at a rate of 10-20 or more per week. So you could potentially get your set mid to late April, or it could take weeks longer. Depending on where you are in the queue.

I think 10-20 sets per WEEK is pathetic (Even considering that they probably have half a dozen companies to send to), but what do I know. I'm just a machinist...
