Maccabee Defense SLR Non-Restricted Receiver Set [WAIT LIST]

I got a call yesterday from one of the other SLR dealers, who wants to arrange a group chat with Maccabee to see if we can't all help figure out a way to get the receivers anodized to everybody's satisfaction. So that will probably be happening soon and then hopefully we will emerge with a good plan.

Some customers have asked if they can wait for the anodizing to get figured out before taking delivery, the answer is yes

Can you confirm that all your AR-15 LPK parts will fit on SLR receivers?

From first hand experience every part except the hammer (has to be filed down a bit) and the safety selector (tad too wide so very stiff, but I’m sure it can be worked in.

All other parts are great.

Thanks! So you have to modify the hammer and safety selector to fit. Is it something anyone can do?

Yeah. I dont have mine yet, but from the looks of it, you could do the hammer with a file. For the safety, sand paper would work.

They're still figuring out the anodizing issue.

Does this translate to another significant delay? Is cerakote continuing in the interim, or is that on hold until the group chat?

I believe they are going ahead with cerakoting some receivers. No doubt they will find a home. Anodizing still TBD. I've relayed to MDI that significant numbers of folks strongly prefer anodizing.

Option C: accept delivery of bare receivers to be finished by the customer to their own specs?

Bare receivers should be do-able.

Ask Wyatt why he's not using the company in Edmonton that ATRS uses for anodizing. I'm not confident that they're ever going to be anodized properly.

Amazing how a retailer has to step up to fix a mistake that is the manufacturer's fault.
