Hey all,

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I can't find a definitive answer: is the Maccabee SLR receiver considered a prohibited firearm at this point?

Sorry if I'm asking a question that's already been answered

The frt table says it is but the frt is not law. The slr was not on the original ban list I don’t think. I think it’s a grey area right now. I’m sorry if I’m totally wrong on this. I’ve lost track of the whole cluster f@ck.

Prohib by FRT not OIC.
FRT is not law but possibly considered close enough by law enforcement and prosecutors? Only way to know is to go to court....

It is effectively prohibited, since most people don't have the money to fight the prohibition through FIC entry, and even those with money are leery of having the SLR and possibly all their firearms seized, possibly permanently if they loose. You basically need to wait on the various suits against the government, or have deep pockets and have to give up shooting anyways for health reasons to pursue this.

Wrong. Frt isn't law. There would be no case and you're appointed legal Council if you can't afford your own. I continue to use mine. As do the half dozen others I know with one.

He's not wrong.
Joe Traffic-Cop will most certainly charge you if he catches you with one.

Having said that;
The fact that you are willing to take your chances and fight it in court is totally fine.
You're not wrong with that stance either.
