First thing you have to remember is it's NOT an AR. It uses AR parts but it's not an AR and doesn't share AR tolerances. Some people consider that a con. I have the first one that went out according to the CSC and mine when together fine and I've had no problems. Put almost 1000 rounds through it and won the first 3 gun match I took it to.

Looking back I see I already replied. Sorry for the double post.

That's pretty rough.

I was not trying to be a #### simply pointing out the obvious. We broke the news to the world about these going into production a year ago or very close to. It seems though that many guys are all about got to have it NOW. Unfortunately with demand far outstripping supply waiting is part of the game now.

Enjoy your waiting while the rest of us are enjoying our guns

Laugh2Laugh2

Doesn't bother me to wait, soon everything we buy will be pre sale if everyone goes along with it. I will have to book my meals a week in advance to make sure the grocery store will have time to produce the items so I can eat.

I like the days of buying of the shelf because people stocked items, waiting for shipping from someone who has stock is bad enough. Paying a deposit for items not already made is where I draw the line. Sure there are exceptions on certain items in life, but this isn't one of them for me

I will buy one when that happens, lots of other people waiting on the same thing.

In the immortal words of the late Jerry McInnis "There are 2 kinds of people in the world. The quick and the disappointed."

Seeing as we very close to closing the pre-orders for production run #2 which we expect will start to ship out in August and orders placed in the near future will then be in production run #3, I don't see us having receivers in stock on the shelf for quite some time to come, but we gotta have hope that someday we will.

Business today is moving further and further away from stocking much for inventory as inventory costs money if it sits on the shelf for long.

I actually charge MORE $$ for anything that I have to store because the customer can't take it the moment it's ready. The longer it sits in my space the more it costs. Moving it around an extra time or two has costs, not to mention what it costs to put up a larger than necessary facility just so the end user doesn't have to.

Time and space is BIG $$. Unfortunately today ain't like the old days and there is no turning back.

Macabee pre-order owners are quick AND disapointed. HA

Already happening. Had to wait 2 days for a replacement battery for a 2017 Ford Edge the lady drives. 9 weeks for a replacement sunroof plate for my 2015 BMW X5

Wait til that is brake parts, filters, belts, hoses, oil, etc. Because you have chosen a certain path for your business, that is on you, consumer isn't forcing your hand.

The more we as consumers accept this and move our own companies into the idea we can just make people wait rather than have our products available for purchase will be our own undoing.

You cant say your wait for items from another company is unacceptable when you have a list a mile long of people waiting for yours without being called a hypocrite.

Going to be fun getting a car fixed so you can go to work the next day when the parts to fix it only get made after you place the order.

I had to wait over 3 months for an oil line that blew inside the transmission on a brand spanking new machine. Plus the line was internal so the machine needed split and tore apart to fix it. The job couldn't be started until AFTER the part arrived. If the line was external I could have simply had one made up from hydraulic line to get it going for the time being but that wasn't the case. Ended up with a brand new machine down for almost 4 months .

The thing is that it was a brand new model and certain parts for it hadn't even been warehoused yet. Had to wait until there was another production run of that part so they could ship one.

Yes it totally sucks and it's only getting worse.

Waiting a few months for a firearm receiver does still test my patience BUT it's the least of my worries.

Sounds like there will probably be lightly used examples in the EE before they make it to the in stock, on shelf status.

Again already happening and the guys flipping them are for the most part making FAR more profit that we ever would dream of.

Wouldn't be possible if there was new inventory available for sale, they would buy from you instead.

Again, already happening with common parts for all sorts of things. Do you not think I was not happy when several of our milling machines were shut down for several weeks waiting for expensive parts? I sure was, yet there was nothing I could do but wait for the parts to arrive and then for the service guys to install them all the time still paying my staff to read the forums. I don't like this reality of today's business but also do not complain out loud about it now being a fact of life.
Sure it would have been nice to have both cars fixed same day, however odd ball parts especially $7500.00 sun roof plates I suspect are not something that the dealerships see break all that often.
In the perfect world to have the stuff you need tomorrow available for delivery today would be great, but frankly I don't see it happening.

If waiting doesn't bother you, that is great. You are blessed with more patience than most.

Imagine if you were at the hospital and you were dying of heart failure and the company that makes the life saving medicine to save your life, required a pre sale to make a production run.......

What's the guy supposed to do? Build receivers for an entire year and let them stack up on shelves generating NO revenue just so the day they go on sale nobody has to wait?

Now that's funny Laugh2
