"Machine guns for sale" - historical

I remember when those ZB's were selling for $499.00 with all the accessories just like yours .....heavy sigh .they are quite a peice of work

I remember my father selling his Thompson for $2800 in 1985. We used to take it back in the woods and fire (full auto of course) into a brook. Not too many 12 year olds can say that today:)

But do they WORK???

That point is kind of moot, since even a functioning full auto can't leave the house - ever.
I guess you could just sit home with the Vickers set up pointing down the hall at the front door and wait for someone to try to break in (actually, that would be kind of fun)

The prices I quote are applicable to full auto, converted (semi) auto or dewat. Often as not, the dewat can command towards the higher end of the scale these days since the elegible pool of buyers is much larger (ie: anyone with the interest and the cash) and as Ian in Vic states, the dewats are just about as useful here in Canada these days.

Going to be interesting to see where the US is going in the next year or three John, with it's multi democratic government these days. Prices down there may well be effected by what you will still be allowed to own and operate.

wow, really that is a great article, would be great to see when it was made and what paper put it out.
