Hello CGN Community,

I humbly seek your assistance. As far as my research has shown, if I wish to take advantage of utilizing XCR 10 Round magazines, I must purchase the B&T magwell adapter. This is an unfortunate case of my personal preference for the features on the CSA AR15 Magwell adapter — features such as the bolt hold-open, and right side mag-release.

My question for the community is, if I were to purchase the CSA AR15 Magwell Adapter designed for the 5.56, would gunsmithing/machining my CSA VZ58 be a viable option to fit the CSA AR15 Magwell Adapter not designed for the 7.62x39 versions of the VZ? Or can it even be done?

As far as I know the the XCR 10 Round magazines are 'stagnag' shaped, and should theoretically take the XCR magazines, however, I could not find examples of this on the forum.

Any help or insight anyone can provide would be of great help, much appreciated as a first time poster.

Thanks ahead of time, :)

W.

Thanks for responding Jake,

I was hoping for a spot of luck to see if anyone on CGN has experience with both, or maybe has owned a couple VZ58's and might have purchased both magwells or has had gunsmithing done to get their opinions. I'm just reluctant to spend money one something before I know if it will produce the results I'm expecting.

Cheers,

W.
