I know this is a long shot (no pun intended... really) But I'm looking for a Macmillan TAC 50 in CF config for a movie. Anybody??

Cheers & thanks for any help you can provide!!

The rifle (McMillian)may be prohibited in Canada -
The firearm of the design commonly known as the McMillan M87 rifle, and any variant or modified version of it, including the McMillan M87R rifle and the McMillan M88 carbine

Thanks, yes.. the permits are not the difficult, we are licensed and can have prohib with no difficulties...it's simply (SIMPLY??) a matter of getting my meathooks on one that's already in the Country...

Pulling one out of the states is also not a problem other than my time crunch.. the export permits take too long so I need to find one in Canada already..

Cheers & thanks again !!

No going to get into what its for yet.

Modern Drummer could answer what the budget is way better than me.I'm not even sure the production itself knows yet.Timeline is 3rd week of march from what I understand, which is why we're in a bit of a panic.I guess they thought there were lots of these rifles floating around.

Saw a deactivated Tac 50 on display at the Navy Seal Museum in Ft. Pierce Florida about a month ago. Maybe they can do something for you if you can assist their operating budget? (I know, I know, slim chance at best)

The only one that I know of, is Rob Furlongs actual rifle, and it was on display here at the Museum of the Regiments (?) on Crowchild Trail. They may be able to help you find one, or lend you one of theirs.
You fella's probably know this already, but it is the US that prohibits the export of any US made .50 cal rilfe. So, other than a military application, they would be very difficult to find. Hope this helps.
