We will take IPSC, IDPA, CDP, PPC as acceptable holster qualification. The airsoft run & shoot is pretty flexible though - you can bring a wife without PAL and keep her from being bored, LOL.

Sling is not required as the transition will be staged. For future matches, we may consider pistol/rifle transition for those qualified for two guns and trained on pistol/rifle transition, but it is just an idea for now.

Question regarding pistol...how strict are you enforcing IDPA compliance? For example, my current service pistol setup includes a mounted light and I would prefer to use it as is (mostly due to my holster)...if the light is not allowed, I need to arrange for an alternate holster or use a different pistol...thanks.

We discussed this and agreed in the spirit of being practical and fun, this should be allowed. On a separate note, if a drop leg holster is used, then one must also wear full duty gear - this is covered by the CDP (Canadian Defensive Pistol) rules as well.

We have some rough stage designs now and updated the round count estimate.

Also if someone is thinking of getting into the 3 gun sport but need equipment to compete, we have shotguns, pistols & holsters available to borrow.

Just want to let everyone know we will load up to 5 rounds into rifle mags to level the playing ground, and also helps force some of the mandatory mag changes in the stage design. Come on, mag change is fun! LOL :)

Based on what I know, 4 rifle mags loaded with 5 rounds should be sufficient for the largest rifle stage. Will publish the round count estimate shortly.

Just finalized the stage layout and here is the total round counts: rifle 45, pistol 100, birdshot 15. Not slugs or buckshots for this time - will try some slug stages next time.
