Made a mistake today...

Good thing they didn't have a Sako .308 beside it, like in my local gun shop, otherwise you would have made 2 mistakes! True story, almost happened to me when I when to pick up my Springfield! Lol

Lapua brass, neck sized.
Br2 primer.
N560 powder.

139 grain scenar.
3.060 oal.
49.5 grains of powder.
Five rounds into 1" at 300 yards, consistently.

160 matrix vld
3.196 oal
47.5 grains of powder
Same accuracy as the 139 scenars.

As always, work up to these loads if you want to try them. The 160 matrix are jammed into the lands slightly at that oal.

Thanks, I've been meaning to give Hirsch one of my paychecks :) (seriously)
Question; did you try N550?
And what velocity are you getting with these loads?
Any loads with hunting bullets?

Again,
Thanks

I'll have to check when I get home, but yes I had some loads with varget and n550, and velocity data.
This was all in a tikka sporter with a 24" barrel.

N550 45.3 grains
139 scenar
3.060 oal
2860 fps
61470 chamber pressure

Varget 42 grains
108 lapua hp
3.000 oal
3000 fps
52180 chamber pressure

N560
Matrix 160 vld
3.195 oal
2780fps
61800 chamber pressure

N560 was better with anything over 130 grains. The 108 load is super accurate and light recoiling, makes coyotes go poof.

Got some Glass! - Range trip next weekend (hopefully)
