Made in Auschwitz as a selling point???

From my reading of the advert the seller is just mentioning it in passing, and just as something he was told. He doesn't sound proud, pleased or even interested. The "dirty bird" is as good a name for the hoheitstabzeichen as I've ever heard!

I agree 100% with your comments Cantom on Nazi paraphernalia in general.

The Germans started the war, but it is the English who are responsible for making it a world war by continuing the conflict after 1941 when peace almost happened.
So you would support the killing of English civilians too? Since the final solution was not started yet, you can't say that the Germans were monsters or etc. If you support the murdering of one side you have to admit that it is justified on the other side too.
Also you are wrong that the Germans started the bombings of civilians, the English started it. Hitler refused to retaliate for 3 months because he was hoping for an Alliance with the British. Only after he realized it wasn't going to happen did he allow retaliation on English civilians.

And where are you from "Sir Plus"?

Wherever it is, you apparently haven't heard of the Hague Convention, its terms, or the way Germany violated them in WWI, to say nothing of WWII, by employing methods they had agreed not to employ a few years earlier: poison gas and THE AERIAL BOMBING OF CITIES in particular. Zeppelin raids on London began in 1915. That was the first significant bombing of cities from the air. Germany repeated the habit in WWII, beginning with Warsaw and other Polish cities.

German cruisers bombarded three British coastal cities in December 1914, killing about 150, mostly women and children. No military targets were present, it was simply terrorism or "schrecklichkeit"; an openly declared policy by the way. I won't bore our regular listeners with all the quotes from German leaders and "thinkers" of the 19th and 20th centuries which amount to "there are no rules in war and whatever promises we made we can break if it is convenient for us".

Its like you ignore my other posts just to attack this one, like you really want to disagree
If your first reaction when encountering a different opinion is to assume the other person is ignorant instead of trying to understand...

I can't believe this ####.

What kind of twisted individual would consider this something positive as a selling point?

Personally I can't stand the sight of Swastikas or Nazi stuff, unless it's a helmet with a bullet hole in it.

Mausers, fine...great rifles. But pushing having been made in a death/extermination/slave labour camp...a bit beyond the pale?

In all of the years I've owned guns and collected, I've never seen anything like this before.

Lest my silence be misinterpreted as agreement, I'm speaking up.

Cantom,

the only nazi rifle i ever had in my hands was the k98 my grand father captured in a fight and had a red star on it due to being part of Partizans and i was proud of him the rest ... there is some countries where owning nazis stuff will still lead you to jail ... there is no history to be proud of and about KL that even worst ....

thank for bringing that stuff.

Fiddling while Rome burns .....

While we're sniping at each other, our Draconian government is about to drop the hammer on us with new and likely more stringent firearms regulations. We are on the brink of being able to tell an anti-gun government to stuff it and reverse decades of punishing lawful gun owners. while going soft on criminals.

That means we'll have to stand together and out all this petty internecine squabbling behind us. The very future of firearms ownership in this country is at stake.

after i read some i still have to remember that germans were nice and none in the nazi party, same as for the ss or waffen none were in ... lol ....

i visited some remains in different KLs and what struck was the silent ... will it be in Poland, Germany or Croatia. some that want to collect that kind of stuff good for them but as part of dark history that none should be proud of ...

that would be a premiere if all guns owners stand together and i doubt it will happen this time.

It isn't going to matter WHAT ####in' logo is on guns we can't own or have 'grandfathered' if we don't take a united position and tell the Libs and Shiny Pony where to get off this time.

I'm pretty sure everyone on CGN is on the same boat when it comes to gun politics. The division among gun owners is more along the lines of Fudds who don't care about anything other than their model 70s VS pro freedom gun owners who see the big picture.

gun owners are not united and mostly divided .... even if you think what you want about that is nothing to do with the thread ... i ve seen that in different countries this is how it is, if you do not own restricted and have no intentions to why bother for that : my hunting rifles or shooting shotguns is what i need ...

we have seen that in the past and honestly unless and until you are bringing new people in the sport and owning restricted nothing will change ... i always love to see the face of new people shooting our handguns but how many among us are bringing in newbies?

Perhaps if the busybodies went to the Gov't and asked the trade in Genocide be abolished, something that is entirely possible and has precedent. I.E. What is the real reason the AK is prohibited by name?

Could those busybodies then appeal to the same Gov't for the abatement of the killing of defenceless animals of the forest ? Then why even permit the possession of such a violent, useless and unsafe instrument as a firearm.
Public Opinion has not been swinging in the direction of Tolerance.

One might pause and remember what goes around comes around.

I have a different point of view BECAUSE I read a lot about the history, instead of watching the same overly simplified documentaries everyone has seen. What I said is not that Germans never targeted civilians, but that those bombings weren't out of line with other historical bombings, like Frederick II bombing Dresden, and countless examples of artillery being used on cities. I said that the escalation of civilian targeting to a whole new level was started by the British government.
Some people can't accept that Hitler was initially holding back because he was hoping for peace with his western neighbors.

Well, that about does it for me. (Ignore) Take care...IBTL

Sorry, what?

Several in fact. My wife and I recently provided a 'day at the range' for a lady friend. She already had her PAL and now wants an RPAL. She shot our .22 revolvers and pistols, finishing up with a CZ Shadow 9mm and an AR15. Now her husband and two of her employees want a similar experience and are taking the next available RPAL course.

Some of us actually get away from the computer to play with our guns and recruit new people to the shooting sports. In between I do a lot of reloading and make time for hunting which for me means stepping out the door.
