I have in my gun cabinet a rifle I would like to know more about. It is a North America Arms - Toronto Canada bolt action "GRIZZLY" model 90s in 30-06 caliber. It holds 5 cartridges. The 22 or 23 inch barrell (depending on how you measure) appears to be micro-grooved, and it has stamped on the right side of the receiver FN made in Belgium. What time period did the company exist? Is it made of parts from other manufacturers? If so, who? Was it realy a canadian co.? Side note: i recently found out that a Major General? Chris Vokes headed up the company in 1959.
Any info. out there would be very helpful.
Thanks.

Chances are , that North American Arms, is a trade name much the same as guns stamped CIL. They were made elsewhere , in your case belgium, and were sold under a trade name. I can't find any reference to North American Arms. Anybody?

Sounds like the rifles that were also branded "JC Higgins" with FN Mauser actions, Marlin barrels and stocks.

Fine guns.
