Made it into my hunting area today,...almost

Almost made it into a favourite hunting area today, but when I got to the place that I call "heart attack pass"...I just couldn't do it with the little guy with me...

Still a lot of snow in there, and I mean a lot...

It was almost storming in some places...

The place I mentioned "heart attack pass" and a nice little trickle of water runing down it and two fresh slides...300m down on one side, about 500m up on the other,..I wasn't gonna be in the middle with the little guy in my backpack carrier...

lots of deer. and couple of elk,... and not another thing alive it seemed...

no green shoots or grasses.. definitely no bears...

I was still 6k away from my honey hole,... but it was good to get out and about....
