I have a ithica mag 10 that I have been thinking of selling . How much should I ask for it ? very little use and in very nice shape. I have seen many below the border most pretty rough or cut down @ $550 to $800 and none anywhere close to the condition of mine...... thanks Ken

With the ithaca the big thing is if it is a later one fitted with choke tubes. If it is it should bring the same money as a rem sp-10 800 min.
If it is a fixed choke barrel they are a hard sell normally since it is hard to impossible to find a smith in canada to fit the tubes or open the 10ga chokeso you can shoot steel.
To get it done state side is like $250.00 min by the time the barrel comes back. So someone that knows these guns would factor that into what they are going to pay for yours.Also most 10ga semi guys want camo or stalker finishes so the wood and bluing is not a plus.
The 550-800 is not far off since with these condition is only one factor.

The Roadblocker is the desirable one. I figure 550$ to 750$ if it has choke tubes. You can buy a new Gold or SP-10 with chokes for around 1200$ if you look around or a used one for around a grand.
???? The road blocker was the police version??? of the Ithaca MAG-10 designed to give law enforcement the ability to deal effectively with criminals in vehicles on road blocks. It is very heavy (around 11.5 lbs loaded weight), has a 21" barrel fixed cylinder choke, 2+1 capacity, and is not intended for routine carry. It had a tough parkerized?? black finish and a stainless steel gas recoil system. Cops did not like it due to the weight and the small ammunition capacity of 2+1 since it also incorporates a "countercoil" system which substantially reduces what would otherwise be an extreme recoil. They are very rare now and collector pieces selling anywhere from $1500 to $2500. I only remember ever seeing two in all my years but it was so nice to hear the name again, must be 25 years since I have heard anyone refer to them.

A little before you became a member here one went for 550$ in the EE. I said "I'll take it, second unfortunately" I don't the road bloackers fetch as much up here maybe 800$ tops.

Yes sir for that money I would have grabbed it also. I have never seen one for sale up here but agree it would be lower than some go for in the US. What a home defense gun, OK mr burgler hide behind the wall BOOM no more wall, there you are mr burgler want some 10ga 00 buck to cut you in half . What a Unreal combo it would be. Take care
