Mag lengths

I have a Savage 10FCP McMillan .308 . I'm giving some thought to a bottom metal conversion to use AI mags . Question is , are AI .308 mags longer than my Savage mags which would allow me to seat bullets out a bit farther and still be able to mag load ? Anyone have a measurement of both mags to compare if the AI mags are slightly longer .

I can fit COAL of 2.810 into my AI easily enough. Don't know about the Savage though...
If you are trying to reach the lands, you might have a hard time with a factory barrel.
