I wouldn't pass up a good deal on a working rifle with Magnaporting.
I've owned two 375s with it and it really did a great job of reducing recoil and muzzle flip. Didn't find it much louder than w/o.
I agree, magna porting is much more quieter than brake, reduces the muzzle flip better as well.
I have Ruger 77 in 375-338WM aka 375 Taylor with magna porting and it kicks somewhat less than my 35 Whelen.
I cringe before shooting 12ga 3" mag loads but my 375 Taylor is a pussycat compared to it.
Ps.... You have to have lots of hair on your chest to state that 458 Lott doesn't need a brake at all....
