Mag pouch advice......

ATR - If you are switching between a Duty Belt and a MOLLE belt then I would suggest the Belt Mounted ITW Fast Mags. These will work with Duty Belts and MOLLE Belts.

They will fit any mag, including 308 mags, smoke grenades etc.

The Fast Mags aren't bad bad but only work well with aluminum M4/C8 mags.

My preference is still the Blue Force Gear Ten Speed Mag pouches. Much lighter than the Tacos and Fast Mags, easier put on and take off, holds a variety of items due to the elastic and is very low profile.

Safari land makes a great fast mag system, they also can be fixed together to take less space on the belt, give me a PM if your interested

no insult meant but those are way way to slow to draw from and very old school

the Taco is my Favorite for off the belt,BFG tenspeed off the chest rig

this is my set up

ATS padded warbelt,C-toms in belt with cobra buckle,BFG med kit and suspenders,three Taco pistol/rifle combo pouches ( not I took a pic of it holding a AICS 308 mag) ER knife, Raven holster, 4x4 shell caddy and one fastmag. I run this on coarse and in Three Gun

I am putting together my belt, found a belt I like, but wanted to know what mag pouches I should look at.

This is a low profile set up, so it will be 2x double pistol mag pouches and I guess 2x AR mag pouches.

And holster obviously.

For now this will be on a 2.25" nylon duty belt with pad.



For AR mags I was thinking of Bladetech or the ITW Fastmags. I use both Pmags and metal mags if there is a difference in fit.

For my pistol mags, I was thinking of Bladetech or Blackhawk double mag pouches.

This is for lightweight shooting and training, not a 1st line belt or anything like that. I guess I will evolve into that later on.

Clear up you PM box than contact me. As my buddy is making custom kydex ones just for friends. I am currently getting him to do all my custom kydex work now. Even got him to make a custom kydex holster for my $200 tokarev cause he does such good work
Oh ya the 10 rounder model that hi makes for the LAR mags to be used on the belt ROCKS! Never mind the MOLLE version
