Mag question

I'm glad we have That sorted out! :d
I do have a question, possibly a stupid question, but I really don't want to buy a whack of mags to find they don't fit.
(I have learned not to assume)
Will the E-Lander mags fit an M-305?

as far as i know, they fit in all of them.

they are the exact same outer dimensions as the standard m1a magazine, only difference is there is no cutout in the front for the oprod spring guide to fit into. basically it probably means that it wouldn't be held in the gun "as securely" as a proper magazine...but in practice, the receivers are tight enough, the rear latch is good, and the oprod spring guide still exerts pressure on the mag.

so yes, it should fit any m1a pattern gun... m305 included

Yes they will work fine in a M-305. I bought some GS designs mag extensions for mine and its a lot easier to change mags quickly now.

Thanks Guys!
Good advice beats having a full table at the gun show!

ChalkRiver, That's a nice looking rifle, very similar setup to the one I'm starting to build.

Thanks leftent . I took an Ultimak M8 rail off another rifle and added an Eotech but I found that requires a higher cheekrest on the buttstock .
If I had a CTR buttstock and a 3/4 in cheekriser I would use the Eotech as I like them for CQB.
So for now its been replaced with the Bushnell TRS-25 . When its mounted on the Ultimak I can co witnesss the TRS with the iron sights

The mossberg butt stock adapter I got from SFRC works well .

I checked out the thread on the stock adapter. That's a great way to get a modern style stock without spending big bucks on a Sage or Blackfeather.
I prefer a fibreglass stock to metal...particularly in the winter...or in the heat of the summer for that matter!
