An acquaintance of mine had passed away over a year ago, and I was given 5 High Power magazines by his widow. I finally decided to sell them since I have no use for these mags. Decided to check if they are functional and discovered that all mags have 13 round capacity, thus making them illegal in Canada.

I'm pretty sure I cannot sell these - do I turn them in to RCMP for destruction?

Thank you all, I'll have a look at YouTube. I might give it a try if it doesn't take more than a drill press and some rivets. Don't want to butcher them unnecessarily.

These are 9mm mags.

I do have a High Power 9mm I bought a few years back, it came with 2 mags - but these have thick plastic base pads, unlike the ones I inherited.

Thanks again.

So you have a HP? Drill the and rivet the same as your other mags. What's the concern about butchering them if you were thinking of turning them in?

Base pads can be added if that is an issue.

are they labeled 9 mm?

Norinco mags have no markings except round count numbers by the view holes. .40 mags load and feed 13 rounds of 9 mm without any problems

One of them is labeled 9mm NATO, others have no markings at all. And, there are no round count holes - just one for the mag release.

Interestingly, they do take 10 of .40ACP, although it's a snug fit.
