Mag recommendations for stag 10

So picked up a stag 10 going to be using 6.5 in the mags what is everyone using that works would like a couple 10 rounders and possibly some 20 or 25 round magpul sr 25 mags if I can find any

Lancer L7-AWM’s for the win.
 
So what makes the lancers so much better than the magpul. And who has any in stock I can’t seem to find any Ar 10 type mags any place well at least not for a reasonable price
 
I have the Magpul for my 6.5CM Stag 10. They work, but don't drop freely when depressing the mag release... they're kinda tight. Anyone else experience this?
 
Where does all this love for the Lancer L7 come from? Didn’t Lancer mags have a big problem a few years ago?

No way would I pay that much for a 5 round magazine. You can get a 5 pack of Pmags for the price of 2 Lancers. I’ve never had a problem with my Pmags.

From what I found, and the primary reason I went Lancer is because they have the longest allowable COAL for loading 175gr SMK’s.
Granted Magpul makes their m118LR mags but before I purchased the Lancers I read about a lot of cracked feedlip issues on those specific mags from Magpul. The choice was a no brainer for me.

As for the Lancers being problematic, I believe there were some issues with their very first gen mags, which they’ve since come a long way in improving their product. I’ve never been a big proponent of them for the cost you pay, but I have been extremely satisfied with my L7’s that I went ahead and ordered a bunch of their L5’s to try in my AR’s.

Try A z T e C h armory. Their next import cut off is the 10th of June. Best place I’ve found to get Lancers.
As for what makes them better, that’s subjective to you and your needs. Do some research, they might just be a waste of money for your intended purpose. For me, they were worth the price.

My Stag 10 with 1 in 10 twist loves 175gr SMK. In fact it’s zero’d with Federal Premium Gold Medal 175gr SMK. I’ve never had an issue fitting them in the standard 7.62 pmags. Is this something I should watch out for or is this feed lip problem with 175gr SMK only when reloading with that bullet?

I don’t know off hand, but if you’re only running factory ammo it probably won’t be an issue, likely only be an issue if you’re running your own loads and start extending that COAL. It wasn’t as if I was going to be jamming my loads into the lands with a gas gun, but when I was researching what mags to use I didn’t want it to ever become an issue and having to go out and buy new mags.
Simply put, there wasn’t any downfalls to going with the L7’s, but there was room for potential issues going with the others.

As with most things, I would definitely keep an eye on whatever it is you run. Mags are after all, a disposable item and feedlips don’t last forever.


The only other ones I’d be tempted to try would be KAC SR25 mags or the ones from LaRue but as with most things from either of those manufacturers, they’re like finding hens teeth up here.
 
I have no experience with AR-10 mags but I've done some research and asked some questions like this before. (Still building first stag 10)

I believe it's 2 separate issues.
-pmag feed lips break after a while, especially in the cold.
-some PMAGs (the 25 round one that isn't labelled M118) have pretty limited length and you can't load more than the saami spec 2.800"

There are PMAGs that handle slightly longer cartridges. Also, PMAGs are cheap and readily available (at least when the market is "normal") so it's not too bad if you have to replace one. Lancers seem to be reviewed as superior, but are also much more $$$ and a bit tougher to find
