Magazine Conversion

Is it possible to convert an M14 magazine to work with my Valmet Hunter .308? Any other mag that would work? Would like to see if anyone has any experience with this. I figured a gun plumber would know if its possible.

The Marstar/Norinco mags are the quality equivilent of USGI. As to the possibility, if you spend enough money, anything is possible.
Can you not find Vamet mags, or do you think this would be cheaper?

Why not just get one of Marstar's mags, and compare it to what you have? Should be easy enough to determine if its possible to adapt.

Its pretty much impossible to find Valmet mags, even looks like they're rare in teh U.S. As to determining if its possible to adapt by comparing - I'm not sure what's possible for gunsmiths to do? I mean maybe my stepdad might be able to do something since he's a welder and pretty handy with metal. I guess I could just get some and then find someone in Calgary who would know - worse case scenario I'd have to sell them.

Get one of each and do a side by side comparison.

Chances are the M14 will not work due to the relationship between the feed lips and reciever.
