Anyone knows where I could buy a magzine for a Ruger hawkeye M77 in 308win? I would like to change the foorplate for a magazine.

thanks

I believe CDI makes a detachable bottom metal conversion for Ruger M77 short actions that accepts AI pattern mags. Site sponsor Mystic Precision is the Canadian CDI importer. Jerry's great to work with and might be able to source mags to, I would imagine.

what about the parts coming from the gunsite ruger?

I may be able to answer that question in January. A Ruger Guide Gun in .338RCM is on its way. The plan is to make it more scout like, specifically magazine fed. My GSR currently resides in a McMillan stock and I'll be swapping bits and pieces around. According to web research the RCM round should fit into and feed from a 325WSM mag, which Accurate Mag makes in an AI spec compatible with the 308Win bottom metal.

The unanswered portion is will the DBM fit into a hinged floor plate stock. This I can compare as I already have the GSR on hand.

The upper receiver is the gsr the lower is a regular m77:

Thanks! Looks like I should have a discussion with McMillan about what I'm trying to accomplish. Apologies to the OP if this deviated from where you wanted the thread to go. Thanks for the image HD.
