So a friend of mine was entrusted a few guns to sell for a friend who's brother had passed and it included some ammo (45 cal, 357,38 special,22long / short ) and some magazines. I ended up buying a Ruger Mini 14 from in and he threw in the above mentioned items. I don't have much experience with handguns so I have a couple of questions. There are 4 of each of the mags in the attached photos. The larger ones seem to fit the 45 cal rounds however when I tried to insert 22 longs into the smaller Ruger mags the only way they go in easily is by retracting the spring via the button on the side of the mag. Otherwise they don't seem to go in easily after the second round. Are they 22 pistol mags and what model are they specfic to? Same for the 45 ??? Would they fit any 45 cal pistol or would they be model specfic ? Sorry for my ignorance.

Regards.
GT.

Those 45 mags are for the 1911, 3 shooting stars are good mags, the other one, I can't remember the name, the ruger mags are for late MK 1 and 2's and yes you have to pull the follower down as you load them, that is why they put those studs on all 22 mags, colt, browning, s-w are all the same way.
I would be interested in them all for the price is reasonable if you don't have a use for them.
P.M. me
Marshall
P.S. when I look again the ruger mag on the left is a MK1 mag and that one is a 9 round mag, not 10 like the others
The 45 mag that is different should ne a 8 round mag, the others will be 7 round mags

Thanks so much for the info. If I remember correctly the 45 mags did take 8 rounds. Given the fact that about 500 rounds of 45 cal was given to me along with the mags and a 45 is on my short list I might just hold onto them as another reason to speed up the process of purchasing a 45. Like I really need a reason! I’ll think about the Ruger mags and if I decide to part with them I’ll let you know. Thanks again.

That is fine , good reason to buy a 45, I had a extra red dot sight in stock, so bought another 9mm to put it on.
I am more interested in the 1911 ones, but I get a odd ruger in and nice to have extra mags.
Now if they where factory Hi-standards, I would be offering you good money.
