So I picked up a complete RRA rifle on the EE a month ago and it works flawlessly w/ USGI magazines however today I tried inserting a PMAG and also a LAR15 and no luck. If I jam it in as hard a possible, sure it works, but then it's near impossible to extract. These are empty magazines with the bolt open. My LMT that works with all three magazines so I tried switching the uppers around it, seems like it's just the RRA lower that's causing the problem. Shaving the front post of the PMAGs does allow it to seat easily and drop... but I figure I should try to fix the actual problem.
Hopefully the pics speak for themselves. It seems like the Magwell needs to be back about a mm...
I circled the ledge where the front of the magazine gets stuck on. It is flush when I use my LMT lower on both uppers.
You can see how the PMAG hits the upper receiever and won't insert any further unless forced.
I'd appreciate any help I can get. I'll definitely be contacting RRA in the morning and I'm waiting to hear back from the Seller . If this is the norm, sorry.
