Magazine plate interfering with bolt..

To all the tweakers around,

how can I adjust or lower the magazine plate on a Rem BDL so the bolt doesn't touch it.

The action works good but i'm sure it'll be smoother without touching it.

By "magazine plate" do you mean the magazine follower that is on top of the magazine spring or do you mean the magazine box?

If you mean the follower, it only contacts the bolt when the magazine is empty... if there are shells in the magazine they contact the bolt...

Yep, it is the magazine follower ,

you're right, is doesn't contact when loaded, but I have another remington where there's no contact at all and it does move smoother.


It looks like I would have to add a piece to the follower, not sure I wanna do that though...

what cartridge is it chambered for?..I might have one that doesn't drag on the bolt...
