No, this was when the C-68 law first came into effect, and Canada was not safe until
the high cap mags in your possesion, have all been modified to only hold 10 rounds.
This was for handgun mags.
You had a grace period to turn them in or get them modified by gunsmith.
People outside of Quebec dont beleive or understand that things are done a little
different there.
And i would say yes to your question,
The SQ can and do alot of things other Prov's dont.
Dont get me started on range construction rules they have there, long before Ont
got the new rules.

For rimfire, it's totally legal. You can find 25 round Butler Creek 10/22 mags in many gunshops.

if its designed for a semi auto. yes.

if its a propriety mag designed for a non-semi automatic rifle or handgun, then you can have a million round mag if you want. otherwise, 5 for the semi's, 10 for the pistols.

rimfire rifles exception to rule. have as big a mag as you want.

what about the new remington pump rifle? it can legally use a 30 rd ar15 mag are you aloud to have one for that purpose?

no, it uses a mag DESIGNED for a semi auto centerfire, the ar15.
