Magazine Spring Orientation

I got a Wilson combat mag spring and follower kit. Just want to ask regarding the orientation of the magazine spring when inserting to OEM Colt 1911 magazine.

Does the "high-end" goes to the follower and the other end "with a loop" on the base floor-plate of the magazine?

Correct. The closed/flatter end goes to the bottom and the open end fits into the follower.

Thanks EdGCNM. Was just curious since with the oem colt spring, the closed/fatter end goes to the bottom and is flushed with the floor plate when it is inserted. As opposed to WC, to be flushed, the spring has to tilt a bit backwards.
