Magazine spring supply?

Hello All

Does anyone know a place in canada to get magazine springs? Iam playing around making savage 10 magazine extensions out of sheet aluminum, but I need a longer magazine spring.

Any thoughts?

I built removable magazines for some p-14's I built on and just used steel banding material and bent it back and forth like an S shape.

somewhere I have a set of instructions on how to heat treat, quench and temper banding material that has been pre-bent in order to create a magazine spring ...buggered if I can find it now but from memory one option involved using a small metal "dish" that the spring and about a 1/4" motor oil was placed in .. the oil was ignited with a torch and allowed to burn completely ... then the spring was quenched then later tempered .. but dont trust my memory
