Does anyone know of a source for blank firing BREN magazines? Only have one that I got from Canada some years ago. Would be nice to have one or two more.
 
A friend of mine scoured the country looking for blank fire mags and turned up very few. He ended up having parts made and converting live fire mags to the blank specs.
 
Bren Blank Mags

I have a Bren Blank magazine it has a piece of steel on the inside curve inside the mag. It takes up the space in the part of the mag that the projectile of a loaded 303 would occupy. The 303 blank is only as long as the brass because it is crimped on the end.

Anyone know where I can get a blank firing Bren barrel? I have one extra Bren barrel for a Mk1, I would trade the barrel for a BFA barrel.

I believe that csmilitary had one listed. If not maybe try Michel Perrier.
 
Isn't the blank mag has a white band painted across the mag body to distinguish it from regular Bren mag?
 
Don't know about a white band, the one I have doesn't have one.
Looked at CS militaria, none listed but I did notice he is quite proud of some of his stuff if the prices are to be believed. $10 for a wood carrying handle! I have a bunch of them I bought for 25cents AU each. I had a laugh at his "Vickers brass spare barrel thread protector", which is actualy a cleaning rod guide. Still trying to figure out what the AA handle for a Bren is. There was a handle that could be fitted to the butt early on. However that was quickly dispensed with as a useless bit of kit. It did find new life as a carrying handle for the 2 inch mortar.
Do you have a website for Michel Perrier? I got 101,000 plus hits on the name. a bit much to search for.;)
 
In my younger days I've pumped a lot of ammo out of Brens,both live and blank. When firing balnks we had a restricter on the barrel to cycle the action, but not till now have I ever heard of a mag for blanks. Never had a feeding problem unless the mag was f-ed.Duker
