Hey guys... been playing around with the 6mm rem a bit and have found a few good load/powder combos for hunting but I would like to develop some highly accurate loads. Any suggestions appreciated.

Gun is a vls rem 700 HB

Thanks

6mm loads

My pet hunting load of many years is 36.0 gr of IMR4895 with a 100 gr Sierra SP. I used to load this combo hotter by a couple grains for the most accurate load, but current manuals show my old loads as too hot so I've cut back on the powder. I don't know anyone else who shoots the 6mm locally

If your interested in accurate/precision reloading google "Varmit Al". You'll find good info on precision reloading and other good reloading links but not anything specific on the 6mm

Brenden; I have shot & loaded for the 6mm Remington as a hunting chambering and also as a long range target chambering. For hunting, I recommend a good bullet, since 3100+ is available with 100 grain pills. I have always favored H4831 and RL22, but IMR 4350. RL19 and Vihtavuori N160 also work well. If you go down to the 85 Partition or TSX, then a slightly faster powder usually works best, with W760 or H414 being my personal choices. H380 shot very accurately in a couple of 6mms I had, this with 85 grain bullets again. Hope this helps, Regards, Eagleye.
