Anyone else have experience with this machine.
A friend parked his in my shop because of setup time in his city garage. (see Magma Engineering site, they also took over the Star bullet sizer)
I am addicted, the thing is like a slot machine, everytime I crank the handle I get 2 - 200 grain 45 bullets or translated 12 cents and I do not gamble.
I have had it here about 2 weeks and made 14,000 bullets. I gave the guy 4,000 bullets just because. They advertise 500 an hour which might be for someone who does not like beer. I can do a comfortable 400 per hour.
I sure wish this machine was around about 20 years ago when I started casting. I had given casting up long ago because it did not keep up to my shooting.
Next I got into making the lube recipes on line. I bought a 1 inch threaded pipe with end cap at home depot. (size matches 450 sizer tube). Then I got 3/8 rod and welded on a washer that fit inside the tube for centering. In addition I did one that slid over the rod to center inside the open end. Pour lube mix in hot. Aflter the mixture has set, heat steel tube slightly late and pull lube out. Slice into lengths suitable for sizer and slide of rod. (heating rod slightly also makes it easy to slide tubes of bullet lube off. If anyone need pics, please message me). A little beeswax, parafin and DoAll and you will never pay $6.00 a tube again.
