Magma master caster

i do not have one but it looks really nice.
would be good for fast production one limiting factor i could see off the bat is the mold.
you would be limited to the magma molds only unless you find a way to retrofit other molds to work with the machine.

I use my friends unit. I have cast thousands of bullets with it. Cast close to 7000 rounds one weekend last year. If I had some spare cash, I'd get one for myself.

I don't have a Master Caster but thought about buying one in the past. My thoughts for what it's worth;
looks like a cool machine if it works as shown Does the orifice ever get stuck open leaking molten lead
Master caster $1040.00 + $92.50 each mold U.S. $$ Oh ya + shipping
Are you casting for yourself or for others (perhaps to make a profit)
You tube vids show people using one with a table to drop bullets to water pail beneath machine to quench (great, wondered if they would get deformed in process)
I'm currently using a lee 4-20 bottom feed pot, Lee 6gang molds or double cav lee and Lyman molds I can crank em out pretty good (lots for me )
Don't look to sell but have had lots of excess when someone wants 500 or 1k
Good luck with your choice

A couple of the locals gave up their large operation a few years back. The equipment is now stored around Owen Sound and might be up for sale soon.

Accurate Molds in Utah can make any of their molds for a Magma caster. I get most of my molds there (conventional ones only for me). All custom sized per order, around $100 to your door.

I have a master caster set up in the shop. I have done over 250,000 bullets with it, I mold 9mm, 40, 38 and 45 all with magma molds. I also have the magma feed through sizer (just make sure you get it with heat). I make my own lube, a combination of bees wax, paraffin and do all lube which is a high speed saw lubricant with carnuba wax and I color it with candle wax die. If you can justify the expense it is an excellent machine and you really do need the sizer to go with it. I can make 1000 bullets in just over an hour after everything is up and running heat wise with ease and I lube bullets downstairs while watching tv. It just is not that demanding a job. I have gone through one heater band over the years it has been there but magma is quick to send any parts required. If you do order make sure to get their mold release as well, it is a spray on so molds release bullets with ease. The maximum molded in one day was 6000 rounds and with breaks it was an eight hour day.

The only other issue will be finding lead to feed it. I am in the middle of making 1400 lbs worth of ingots to feed it.

Accurate Molds makes molds for the Magna casting machines. Same prices as the regular hand casting molds.
