I don't think it would be wise to put them in your teeth though Rob.Rob is correct,....after the beep he could put the mags in a pocket,...his mouth or on a magnet attached to his belt.

Sorry...MIC?

Interestingly, I'm starting to wonder how much of an advantage these magnets really are in a match. It seems any time I really need to use one the mag doesn't end up aligned quite the way I would like it to be when it comes time to reload anyway, so it comes up misaligned when I grab for it and ends up shattering my shooting hand wrist...or flying off into the stratosphere after skipping off the side of my mag well.
Lately I'm starting to think that it might just net out at least even time-wise to simply look the mag into the first pouch on the pick-up and accept the loss of whatever the time advantage would be in going for the magnet, only to pick it up again on the quicker more consistent reload. I still have some more testing to do before I'm totally sure though, and I plan to mess around with the timer once I get through this stoopid work crush we're in right now.
I still have the magnet (CR Speed) on my belt and it certainly makes a handy place to store a stripper mag, but I'm still not totally sure I'm sold on the concept yet.
Well, not entirely true.
A mag pouch that is forward of the hip bone would bump you into open, even if the mag pouch is never used, ever.
Similarly, a magnet that is only a magnet (a la the CR Speed Giant Magnet pouch) is still considered allied equipment/a mag pouch, and also must be forward of the hipbone, even if never used for anything except table starts.
A stacked mag pouch (one in which the magazines are stacked side by side, extending away from the body) would only be legal if the magazine in the outside pouch were no more than 50mm away from the torso, otherwise it could not be used.
Logic would dictate that a magnet on the outside of a pouch is also allied equipment and should comply with divisional requirements. However, I will defer to Vince; sometimes his logic and mine don't jive most of the time, but he's higher up on the food chain.
