Magnetic Magazine Pouches

Hi,

Is it legal to have a Magnetic Magazine Pouch on the first mag position[with mag] behind the hip bone for Production Division??

that's what I have... I added a AA Magnet on my CR Speed Versa Pouch so I can have 1 mag between the front side of the pouch and my hip bone

What I used to have is 5 ghost mag pouches, I just want to replace the first one with the magnetic one; just for the time when needed to pick up mags from table.
As long as it is behind the hip bone, I assume it is legal for Production?

As far as I remember anything that holds ammo even those little 'bullet buddies' that hold 2 rounds for mag top ups need to be behind your hip, so I would imagine as long as it is in the right position you should beG2G.

Side note lee valley makes a 1" rare earth magnet in a cup attached to a belt clip that holds 25lbs, I have tried it and will even hold a loaded glock mag. You can remove the clip and screw it to the side of your pouch you have now. The lee valley ones are thinner too, I know guys that have switched to them because you gear can only stick out so far.

for as long as it is behind your hip bone you are good to go. if you use it as a primary mag holder then your mag must be within two inches of your body. if you only use it after the beep then it does not matter.
