I'm troubleshooting my Magnetospeed, I loaned it to someone and it came back not working.
I don't think it got shot, I think he just messed with the settings.
It's been a while since I tried to use it and can't remember if it threw some error code or not.
I saw in a youtube video that someone simulated a shot being fired over it.
I'd like to do the same, anyone have any idea how you'd do something like that?
Doesn't need to be fast or accurate just want to see if it reads any speed and if not what error code it throws.
Thank you

Why do you want to simulate a shot and not just setup and shoot?
I think there is a 'restore factory settings' type option in the menu, I'd have to pull mine out to check.

just off the top of my head. a few things from owning one.

make sure your cables are the correct orientation. Mine had a right angle on one side and a straight on the other.
If the right angle wasn't in the bayonet it would throw errors. No idea why.

try a second cable in case the borrower swapped them. not all 3.5mm cables are created equal. I believe the magnetospeed uses one with two notches on each end.

make sure the sensitivity settings are set correctly - I think 2 is the default. mine wouldn't pick up .22 subsonic if it was lower than 4.

I’ll try this thank you!

My shooting is 95% with PCP airguns vs powerburners, more suitable in many aspects.
Considering the current situation and which direction we are heading I am seeing many shooting friends migrating towards airguns.
Ever consider going that way forget about getting something cheap from box stores.
