MagnetoSpeed Sporter, how are they holding up?

That sounds like a good idea Chuck. I've been a little hesitant to purchase a magneto speed due to the thin barrel on my Kimber Mountain Ascent and I figured I might not get the strap tight enough. I want to make sure it's the right setup for my rifle.

+1 re Magento speed warranty. I have a sporter and the display stopped working after about a year and after producing the bill of sale, a new display was shipped pronto.
Strapped it to a 17 hmr just this past Sunday using the 2nd supplied rubber spacer on top as shown in this thread, turned up the sensitivity and it worked like a charm.
I plug the velocities into the Strelok+ app and select a corresponding scope reticle to calculate the drop at various vertical graduations on our BDC scopes. Makes for better field results and adds some confidence when squeezing the trigger and when you ask yourself why you started reloading in the first place.
