Hey all, sure this has been done to death but...
Are there advantages to using Magnum primers in standard calibers? AND
What is the difference between mag primers and standard primers? Thanks guys!

In addition to what Skullboy stated above I switch to magnum primers when my powder charges exceed 50 grs - such as .270 and .30-06 loads with heavy charges of 4831.
lm doing the same thing in my one 308 and am using 215 m and have had much better luck with accuracy at long range ,mainly because lve cut spread down to next to nothing, especially in cooler weather, but whatever works for you do it.its also well worth noting to try different primers, as to me seems to be a common forgotten thing when reloading and can make quite a difference.
Thanks guys, I have been using standard primers for the past ten years but was given a whole bunch of mag primers but have never used them. I will give them a shot though!
