Magnum Primers in standard Calibers

I use magnum primers in my .308Win loads when using Ball type powder, and for my hunting loads because of the cold.
Magnum primers help to ensure ball powders burn completely, and help with reliable ignition and powder burn in cold weather.
Also note that some brands of standard primers burn hotter then others, could be classesd as "magnum" primers.
However when switching to magnum primers you should decrease your load and work your load up again, watching for signs of over-pressure.

lm doing the same thing in my one 308 and am using 215 m and have had much better luck with accuracy at long range ,mainly because lve cut spread down to next to nothing,especially in cooler weather,but whatever works for you do it.its also well worth noting to try different primers, as to me seems to be a common forgotten thing when reloading and can make quite a difference.
